Jasmine Graham is a passionate advocate for a healthy, sustainable and just world. She uses her academic background, lived experience, and professional expertise to further energy, environmental and climate justice. She envisions a society in which the most vulnerable among us are empowered to be decision makers to ensure an equitable clean energy transition.
Jasmine Graham is currently the Executive Director at Mid-Hudson Energy Transition, where she is spearheading initiatives that empower communities to own and share renewable energy, create healthier buildings, and join in community wealth-building.
Before joining Mid-Hudson Energy Transition, Jasmine served as the Senior New York Policy & Campaign Manager at the Building Decarbonization Coalition, where she leveraged her expertise in strategic planning, policy advocacy, and energy justice, and coalition-building to craft the organization's policy agenda and campaign plan in New York.
Prior to that, Jasmine was the Energy Justice Policy Manager at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, where she was responsible for strengthening and advancing the organization's energy policies at multiple levels of government. She joined WE ACT from Sustainable Westchester, where she served as the Westchester Power Program Manager and co-led the first and largest Community Choice Aggregation program in New York State. She started her career as a Legislative Researcher at the University of Vermont's Legislative Research Service, where she published legislative research reports that synthesized economic and social policy issues.
Jasmine is appointed to New York City's Sustainability Advisory Board where she helped guide the city's long-term resiliency and sustainability goals, as well the New York City Climate Mobilization Advisory Board where she co-chaired the Hospital Working Group and presented implementation recommendations for the City's landmark building decarbonization legislation, Local Law 97.
Jasmine furthered her energy education as a 2022 Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow in the New York City Cohort.
Jasmine is also advancing her understanding and application of sustainable business, regenerative finance, entrepreneurship, and management as she currently pursues an MBA in Sustainability at Bard College.
Jasmine sits on the Board of Directors for Mid-Hudson Energy Transition and is a Founding Member of the Trust for Public Land’s Next Gen Steering Committee and Environmental Justice Sub-Committee. Jasmine is a proud member of Green Leadership Trust and pro bono business advisor to Grit Rugby LLC.
She also served as the Founding Political Chair of the Women of Color Coalition at the University of Vermont, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Development and minors in Political Science and Anthropology.
Jasmine is a certified scuba diver, dedicated plant and puppy parent, volunteer rugby coach, and occasional poet.
